30 million downloads. More than a quarter of a million user ratings. Players around the world.
The mobile game Castle Busters, created and developed by our EpiCoro Games team in collaboration with our publishing partner Voodoo, has reached a major milestone: 30 million downloads worldwide.
For a team from Slovenia, this is more than just a number on a screen. It is proof that a strong idea, outstanding execution, persistence, and the right team can create a mobile game capable of competing with some of the biggest titles on the global market.
The numbers continue to grow every day, but for us, something else matters even more: Castle Busters has built a loyal player base that keeps coming back, competing, developing new strategies, and helping us grow an ever-expanding global community.
Castle Busters is a fast-paced real-time 1v1 PvP strategy game in which two players face off in a castle-versus-castle battle. Every brick can be destroyed, every shot can reshape the battlefield, and a single well-planned move can decide the winner.
Players build a team of eight unique units, fortify their castle, and enter fully destructible arenas. Walls can be breached, towers can be brought down, and the ground beneath enemy units can literally be destroyed. As a result, no two battles ever play out exactly the same way.
The game combines:
This combination of accessibility, short and intense battles, and an almost endless range of tactical possibilities is one of the main reasons why Castle Busters has attracted millions of players.
Castle Busters did not begin as a major global project. It started as an idea and a prototype that our team strongly believed in.
The game’s potential was not obvious from the start. We had to test and refine the concept and repeatedly demonstrate why it could work. When we presented our vision to the Voodoo team again, they recognized the same potential in the project that we had seen from the beginning. This marked the start of a partnership that opened the door for the prototype to reach players around the world.
From the earliest versions to the game as it exists today, countless iterations were required. Development involved far more than programming alone — it included game design, 2D and 3D art, animation, UI/UX, game economy design, unit balancing, analytics, technical infrastructure, and continuous post-launch content improvement.
Behind every castle that comes crashing down is far more than what players see on screen: a small, experienced, and exceptionally dedicated team.
Castle Busters is not our team’s first global mobile gaming success. 100 Balls, created by Žan Korošec, has surpassed 40 million downloads over the years and reached the top of the charts in numerous countries.
Now, with more than 30 million downloads, Castle Busters joins it. Together, these two games alone have surpassed 70 million downloads.
For EpiCoro Games, this achievement is particularly significant because it confirms that our first success was no coincidence. We have built the team, expertise, and development process needed to repeatedly create products for the global market.
Although 30 million downloads is an achievement we are extremely proud of, the Castle Busters story is far from over.
We continue to develop the game with new units, heroes, events, tournaments, seasons, progression improvements, and increasingly competitive PvP experiences. Every update is driven by data, community feedback, and our long-term vision for the game.
Our goal was never to create a game that players download once. We want to build a world they keep returning to, help shape over time, and continuously discover new challenges within.
An achievement like this is not the work of one person. It is the result of the entire EpiCoro Games team, the trust and support of our partner Voodoo, and the millions of players who gave the game a chance.
Thank you to everyone who downloaded Castle Busters, played a battle, shared feedback, posted a video, or recommended the game to a friend. Every download and every battle played is part of this story.
30 million is a milestone. But it is certainly not the last.
